March 18 – Poverty Workshop 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Wingate Hall Lower Auditorium. Meal included in workshop. No Cost. The workshop is designed to gain a deeper awareness of how poverty can affect people’s daily lives and help reflect together on how poverty affects the spiritual lives of those in the community. Sponsored by Baptist Student Union, Lutheran Student Movement, Presbyterian Student Fellowship, Episcopal Student Fellowship with a grant from the Clemens Christian Campus Ministry Fund.
March 24 – Dana Trent discusses her memoir – Saffron Cross: The Unlikely Story of how a Christian Minister Married a Hindu Monk. 7:00 -8:00 pm – Wait Chapel. An intriguing love story of Dana, A Baptist minister, and Fred, a devout Hindu and former monk. The two meet on eHarmony and begin a sometimes daunting but ultimately inspiring journey of interfaith relationship and marriage.
